How To Access Print/Copy/Scan Facilities @ CHEC
Following is the process of how to arrange access to the printer/copiers at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus for;
Staff
I'm a TAFE staff member working at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, how do I organise access to photocopier/printer.
Step 1: Organise Account
After you have received confirmation of employment and IT access details have been provided from TAFE Technology Services, we'll need an email sent to coffs.servicedesk@scu.edu.au from your supervisor/head of cost centre with the following details of the new staff member to create an additional login account;
Full Name
TAFE Email Address
Employee ID Number
Department
TAFE Account Number eg 9xxxxxxx or 2010xxxxx
Similar Access To: <provide a staff name>
Teacher In Computer Lab/Theatre – Yes/No
This will ensure they can access the print/copy/scan facilities @ CHEC.
Please Note:
This can take approximately 24 hours to process
The staff ID card will not work without this additional login account
If a person changes a department, that the new supervisor needs to notify us of this change, so print/copy costs can be charged to the correct department.
Step 2: Authorise Card
To authorise your staff ID card for print/copy/scan access you need to:
Swipe your card
Press the Log In/Out button
Use the printer keypad to type in your CHEC credentials (staff\fsmith), press Next
Type your password/passcode, press Enter
Your card should now be registered & successfully log in
If it doesn’t work first time, try again or visit the Service Desk in E.G.19 (under Library) with your card
I'm a CHSC staff member working at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, how do I organise access to photocopier/printer.
Step 1: Organise Account
We need an email sent to coffs.servicedesk@scu.edu.au from Vice Principal, Admin Manager or Head Teacher - TAS with the following details of the new staff member to create an additional login account;
Full Name
DET Email Address
Employee ID Number
Department
This will ensure they can access the print/copy/scan facilities @ CHEC.
Please Note:
This can take approximately 24 hours to process
The staff ID card will not work without this additional login account
Step 2: Organise Card
After you've been notified your account has been created you'll be able to visit the CHSC Student Administration Office in A.G.23 to get your photo taken for a Staff ID card.
Wait 24 hours and the card will be automatically activated.
I'm a SCU staff member working at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, how do I organise access to photocopier/printer.
Step 1: Organise Account
This will automatically be generated when HR complete your employment. It's the same account you use to login to your office computer.
Step 2: Organise Card
After you've been notified your account has been created you'll be able to visit the SCU Student Administration office in M.G.3 to get your photo taken for a Staff ID card.
Wait 24 hours and the card will be automatically activated.

Student
I'm a TAFE student at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, how do I organise access to photocopier/printer.
Step 1: Organise a Card
You need to pick-up your card from the Student Central (G.LG.7)
Step 2: Register Your Card
If you get a “login failed” message you need to register your card at the printer/copier as follows:-
Swipe your card (it will then say login failed again)
Press the Log In/Out button
Use the printer keypad to type in your CHEC credentials (eg staff\fsmith or student\fsmith600), press Next
Type your password/passcode, press Enter
Your card should now be registered. A successfully logged in/user details validated message will appear
Test the card by swiping the card again at the printer/copier

Step 1: Organise a Card
You need to pick-up your card from the Student Administration (A1 Block)
Wait 24 hours for the card to sync with the system
Step 2: Register Your Card
If you get a “login failed” message please call Technology Service Desk 02 66593080 or visit E.G.19 (under Library)
